The big news in the pharmaceutical industry this year was Pfizer Inc.'s acquisition of Wyeth. With brands like Advil, Centrum, Robitussin and more, Pfizer reentered the consumer healthcare segment shortly after selling off its own consumer business, which included Listerine, Nicorette and Sudafed, to Johnson & Johnson in 2006. The question remains: will Pfizer be among the Top 5 pharmaceutical companies in our 2010 consumer goods registry or will it sell off Wyeth's consumer brands? Only time will tell.
