Barilla Connects Manufacturing Plants
Barilla America, the U.S.-based division of The Barilla Group, makes the fastest-growing pasta and sauce brand lines in its categories. Its pasta producing plant, located in Ames, Iowa, is among the largest pasta plants in the United States and the forth largest in The Barilla Group. To better support growth, Barilla America is opening a second plant in Avon, NY, this spring. The growing scale of its operations requires plant-to-plant scheduling that keeps all facilities working toward common corporate objectives. To enable this, Barilla America is deploying Logility Voyager Solutions, which is expected to strengthen manufacturing planning, increase production efficiency and boost customer service levels. "The Barilla America manufacturing plants are sleek, modern facilities where our employees are committed to meeting and exceeding Barilla's high standards of food production," says Brandon Garcia, head of information technology at Barilla America. "We selected Logility Voyager Solutions to help us maintain these high standards and become more efficient through increased visibility into scheduling and capacity constraints across both pasta plants."
