Campbell Appoints SVP, General Counsel
Campbell Soup Company appoints Adam G. Ciongoli Senior Vice President - General Counsel, reporting to Campbell’s President and Chief Executive Officer Denise Morrison. He will be responsible for Campbell’s legal, corporate secretary and government relations activities and will be a member of the Campbell Leadership Team. Ciongoli’s appointment is effective July 13, 2015.
Ciongoli joins Campbell with more than 20 years of legal experience. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Lincoln Financial Group, a Fortune 250 insurance and financial services company, where he directed the law, compliance, corporate secretary and government relations departments. Prior to Lincoln Financial, he served as Group General Counsel and Secretary for Willis Group Holdings, PLC. During his tenure at Willis Group, he supported the company’s global operations and advised the company on several significant transactions. Adam was also Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Time Warner, Europe. He was responsible for negotiating regulatory clearance of European mergers and acquisitions.
His previous experience includes serving as the counselor to the Attorney General of the United States, as chief counsel to the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on the Constitution, Federalism and Property Rights and as law clerk to United States Supreme Court Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr.
