Catching up with John Kittle, VP Business Development, Marcal Manufacturing LLC
FIRST JOB:
I worked as a stock clerk at Price Chopper in the Albany, N.Y. area.
FAVORITE MOVIE:
Any movie that features Jack Nicholson. If I had to pick a favorite, it would probably be "Something's Gotta Give."
FAVORITE MUSICIAN:
"Favorite" is a tough question because a lot depends on my mood. Sometimes, it's Don Henley. At other times, it may be Gregg Karukas or Led Zeppelin!
FAVORITE VACATION SPOT:
The Sanctuary on Kiawah Island, S.C. We try to make it there every summer. Relaxing days and fabulous dinners in nearby Charleston!
FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM:
As painful as it may be right now to admit it, I like the New York Giants.
PROUDEST MOMENT:
Standing next to my wife as she delivered our daughter. It seems like yesterday. Laura graduates from college this May. I feel another "proud moment" coming on!
BIGGEST CHALLENGE:
Balancing work and family life. I'm passionate about both, which makes it difficult!
HOBBY:
I love tinkering with electronic gadgets. If it's new technology, I'm the guy learning the hard way whether it works or not!
FAVORITE QUOTE:
"Change is hard because people overestimate the value of what they have -- and underestimate the value of what they may gain by giving that up." -- "Flight of the Buffalo" by Ralph Stayer and James Belasco
