Empire Merchants Enhances WMS Efficiencies
In an effort to enhance its inventory and distribution efficiencies, Empire Merchants LLC, a wine and spirits distributor in metropolitan New York, engage CIBER Inc. to implement the HighJump Software warehouse management system (WMS). Empire and CIBER completed the first phase of the WMS implementation in Empire's Brooklyn, N.Y. facility. The second phase of the implementation will be in Empire's Astoria, N.Y. facility, scheduled for January 2009. Empire Merchants, which ships in excess of 10 million units per year, looks forward to realizing significant improvements that are expected to help the company maintain its competitiveness and leadership role in the industry.

CIBER has worked with Empire for the past 18 months, helping it identify opportunities for supply chain performance improvement, identifying areas of cost reduction, and developing key performance indicators to measure progress.
