Former P&G Exec Joins PMI Worldwide as VP, Supply Chain Operations

Global manufacturer of food and beverage container solutions, PMI Worldwide, has named Barbara Smith as its vice president, supply chain operations. PMI Worldwide manufactures, markets, and designs innovative food and beverage container solutions including its two most recognizable brands, Stanley and Aladdin, which are sold globally.

Smith will lead all aspects of PMI’s supply chain operations in the North America and EMEA regions – including sales, demand and supply planning, sourcing, manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics.

“Barbara brings over 30 years’ experience in quality assurance and supply chain operations to our team,” said Brent Denniston, chief supply chain officer. “Notably, she spent three decades in relevant leadership positions at Procter & Gamble, ultimately overseeing supply network operations, manufacturing operations, quality assurance, and quality control governance for $11.5 billion in sales. This included the largest production facilities for the Tide, Downy, Bounce, Febreeze, Mr. Clean, and Cascade brands.”

Smith will partner with PMI’s supply chain executives in Asia and South America to set, execute and improve supply chain strategies and performance globally. She will also work closely with PMI customer stakeholders to ensure stellar supply chain solutions and service delivery.

Headquartered in Seattle, PMI Worldwide has offices in San Francisco, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Amsterdam, Manila, Rio de Janeiro, and Bentonville, Arkansas. Additionally, PMI Worldwide has ownership in three manufacturing facilities, one in China and two in Brazil. PMI is a business unit of HAVI, a global, privately-owned company that operates businesses providing services in supply chain, sourcing, and consumer engagement to global brands.
