Glamsquad chief executive officer Amy Shecter will share how the brand became a platform of “connected beauty” built on next-gen omnichannel technology and human-to-human connection during an Oct. 16 session at the 16th annual Consumer Goods Sales & Marketing Summit in Boston.
Launched in 2014, Glamsquad began life as an on-demand styling service, establishing a network of hair and makeup professionals who are dispatched to make house (or office or hotel) calls to meet the urgent beauty needs of women. The company mades its move in to retail in 2018 by partnering with CVS/pharmacy to provide services inside the drugstore chain’s new BeautyIRL store-within-a-store concept.
At the Summit session, Shecter will discuss the brand's trajectory and how it is using data and feedback from more than 700,000 beauty appointments as inputs on its journey to developing its own line of self-branded consumer products.
Shecter joined Glamsquad in 2016 after serving as CEO of CorePower Yoga. She has also held leadership roles at Elie Tahari, C. Wonder, Cole Haan and DKNY.
The Summit takes place Oct. 14-16 at the Marriott Copley Place in Boston. For more information about the session and the conference, visit the official event website.
