GoGo SqueeZ Opens $85 Million Manufacturing Facility in Idaho
GoGo squeeZ, a brand of re-closable, squeezable applesauce in a pouch, announces the grand opening of its new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Nampa, Idaho. The company made an $85MM investment in the new facility, which will process and package GoGo squeeZ from apples to applesauce and bring 250 jobs to the Treasure Valley.
Since its launch in the United States in June 2008, GoGo squeeZ has been committed to providing all-natural on-the-go snacks in innovative ways. With the continued investment in the U.S. market, first with the Traverse City facility opening in 2011 and now the expansion to Nampa, GoGo squeeZ has created nearly 500 U.S. jobs and achieved approximately $200 million in retail sales.
"The healthy on-the-go snack category continues to grow rapidly here in the U.S. and this new facility was built to be in close proximity to major apple growing regions, allowing us to source the best ingredients for our consumers," said Michel Larroche, CEO and President at MOM Mont Blanc. To celebrate this new addition to Nampa, Mayor Bob Henry, Idaho Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter and dignitaries across the state will be joining GoGo squeeZ in a ceremonial tree planting and ribbon cutting event with the Nampa Chamber of Commerce.
"The deciding factor in opening a facility in Nampa was the community. The people of Nampa have embraced GoGo squeeZ and we feel it's both a great business and cultural fit," said Bill Graham, President, Materne North America. "We're excited to tap into the pool of talent in the Treasure Valley and to actively engage with the community."
With over 90 percent of apples sourced locally and all manufacturing done the U.S., GoGo squeeZ hopes this expansion will help the company to stay ahead of the rapidly evolving marketplace and growing consumer demand.
To further celebrate GoGo squeeZ joining the Nampa community, GoGo squeeZ's GoGo Karts will be in the area on Friday, July 24. The GoGo Karts, which cross the country offering product samples and giveaways, are part of GoGo squeeZ's "Goodness on the Go" campaign which launched this year.
GoGo squeeZ is available at more than 50,000 locations nationwide including Walmart, Target, Costco, Kroger, Publix, Albertsons, Sam's, Harris Teeter, and Whole Foods Market.
