Heineken to Boost Brazil Production by 75%

Heineken NV is moving in more deeply to Brazil and will invest $183.14 million to expand its Ponta Grossa brewing plant.

The investment, reported by Reuters, will center around the company’s Heineken and Amstel brands. Production will increase by 75%, and Heineken Brazil CEO Mauricio Giamellaro said they were essentially building a new brewery.

Heineken NV is a No. 22 on the CGT Top 100 Consumer Goods Companies of 2019 list.
