Hershey Names Chief Information Officer
The Hershey Company announces that Joseph Zakutney has been promoted to Vice President, Chief Information Officer, effective immediately. Zakutney was previously the company’s Vice President, Global Applications & Infrastructure Services. He succeeds George Davis, who retired after serving as the company’s Chief Information Officer for more than 10 years.
In his new role, Zakutney will lead The Hershey Company’s Global Information Services Department, including developing global technology strategies that support the company’s growth in key emerging markets around the world.
Zakutney has more than 25 years of technology and systems engineering experience. He joined The Hershey Company in 1997 and has held leadership positions across all IS disciplines including Vice President, Application Development; Director, Manufacturing and HR systems; Director, SAP Upgrade; Director, Operations and Technical Services; and Program Manager for Hershey’s initial SAP Program.
Prior to joining Hershey, Zakutney was the Manager of Information Services at Honeywell/Alliant Techsystems in Annapolis, Md. He also spent 10 years as a Systems Engineer in the product development organizations at Honeywell and Raytheon.
