Hostess Brands Names CEO

5/28/2014
Hostess Brands LLC names William Toler as its new Chief Executive Officer and President.

According to an article in The Wall Street Journal, the company formerly known as Hostess Brands Inc. announced in 2012 that it would shut down its business and sell its 30 or so brands and 36 plants in a bankruptcy liquidation. In 2013, a bankruptcy judge granted Hostess permission to sell most of its snack-cake brands to C. Dean Metropoulos's private-equity firm, Metropoulos & Co., and Apollo Global Management APO LLC. Metropoulos, formerly the chief executive of the new Hostess Brands, remains chairman of the company.

"I look forward to strengthening our team and working with Bill, who will bring his talents and energy to the next phase of the company's growth," Metropoulos said in a statement.

The article also states that Toler previously served as chief executive of AdvancePierre Foods and president of Pinnacle. Hostess also said in a statement that Rich Seban, who most recently was the company's President and Chief Operating Officer, has been named Vice Chairman.
