ItemMaster Names Andy Walter to Board
ItemMaster has tapped Procter & Gamble veteran Andy Walter to join its board of directors.
Walter, who led IT and shared services for global business units and markets at the Cincinnati-based consumer goods company, will help oversee ItemMaster's expanding involvement with retailers and consumer product manufacturers.
"Andy Walter brings deep industry and operational experience from one of the world's largest and most successful companies," said Dev Ganesan, ItemMaster's chief executive officer. “With our new innovations around data and the enhancements of our platform, we are thrilled to have Andy’s experience representing the voice of the customer and the broader ecosystem.”
Walter, who oversaw more than 1,500 IT and other professionals in his final job during a 26-year career at P&G, is an expert in the integration of emerging and core commercial technologies, supply chain management, sales and marketing, and consumer and business analytics.
Since leading P&G's digital marketing and e-commerce platform development work over a decade ago and the company's analytics transformation from 2010-2016, Walter has been focused on helping P&G, other leading companies and the overall consumer goods industry play to win with their digital transformations.
“ItemMaster is solving key business issues that are present in this disruptive CPG landscape,” said Walter. “ItemMaster is highly focused on rich and complete product attributes that drive a personalized, more impactful consumer experience. This data, content and detailed attributes will change the way the industry meets consumers on their journey and will allow retailers to offer solutions they demand.”
Purpose built for the CPG industry, ItemMaster provides a cloud-based platform that allows brands to create, manage and distribute rich verified, structured product data that meets the requirements of retailers to drive better consumer experience.
