Kimberly-Clark Taps Sustainability Solution

4/8/2013
Kimberly-Clark selects PE INTERNATIONAL, a global sustainability software and services firm, to help manage its corporate-wide sustainability initiatives. With PE INTERNATIONAL, Kimberly-Clark is upgrading its current in-house management system to the SoFi software solution that will track, monitor and report on the air emissions and overall KPIs for energy saving programs from 105 manufacturing facilities and 50 administrative offices worldwide.

"As a company, we are committed to our sustainability initiatives and spent a year searching for and testing possible solutions," says Dell Majure, Air Program leader, Kimberly-Clark. "We selected the SoFi platform for its visualization capabilities combined with the ease and reliability with which it can handle complex calculations, projections and forecasting. We were also impressed with the dedicated team and their commitment to ensuring that all of our requirements were met."

Kimberly-Clark is one of the world's most sustainable companies. It has been recognized by Newsweek as the No. 1 consumer goods company in its green rankings and by several other organizations for its ethical practices and initiatives. The scope of the project with PE INTERNATIONAL is significant with data collected on all aspects of water consumption and energy use from air emissions to waste generation, landfill management, disposal and the costs associated with all of the expenditures. With the SoFi software, all five of the company's business units will now have visibility into the processes allowing them to understand, predict and project energy usage for significant cost savings and generate comprehensive reports needed for internal and external stakeholders.
