Kraft Heinz Company is investing in its capabilities to cut the security risks presented by hybrid applications.

The company has partnered with Saviynt, a provider of intelligent identity and access governance solutions, as part of Kraft Heinz chief information security officer Ricardo Lafosse’s strategic initiative to overhaul its existing security posture and deliver better cyber controls through identity governance.

The effort seeks to reinforce the No. 23 consumer goods company’s IT infrastructure, as well as mitigate identity risk introduced through cloud and on-premise applications.

Kraft Heinz is using Saviynt’s Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) technology as the foundation of its new strategy, while the Application Access Governance solution is expected to to implement consistent and compliant Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) processes throughout its hybrid application environment.

The investments are designed to strengthen Kraft Heinz’s identity management capabilities within a hybrid computing environment for more than 70,000 users across 45 applications and 100 connected systems. This includes smoother onboarding experiences for employees, as well as more seamless (and compliant) access to applications and infrastructure necessary to their role.

“With over 70,000 internal and external identities, we needed a sophisticated solution that offered a centralized, enterprise-wide identity governance framework,” said Lafosse in a statement. “Together with Saviynt, we’ve created a dynamic approach that allows us to visualize, manage and seamlessly administer identity governance. Embracing our Kraft Heinz value, we dare to do better every day, we’re tackling security head-on and automating compliance processes at the speed of business, without compromising end-user experience.”
