7/10/2013
L'Oreal selects IBM PureSystems to provide a new private cloud-based, smarter computing infrastructure for its operations in Uruguay. By consolidating onto PureSystems, the company has been able to reduce its power consumption and the overall size of its IT infrastructure.

L'Oreal Uruguay needed to modernize its IT environment to provide a secure and cloud-ready infrastructure that would be capable of meeting the company's business growth strategy. IBM PureFlex help to provide L'Oreal with the IT backbone needed to expand operations into the cloud and deliver the latest personalized offerings for customers.

"At L'Oreal Uruguay we are focused on providing products and services of the highest quality to our customers," says Fernando Lovera, IT manager L'Oreal Uruguay. "IBM PureFlex will allow us to improve our levels of availability and continue our growth plans in the country. It adds greater simplicity and flexibility to our IT management, allowing us to reduce energy consumption and total space of our infrastructure, two key elements in the current competitive landscape."

PureFlex combines all of L'Oreal's compute, storage, network, virtualization and management into a single system that is expected to anticipate infrastructure needs and optimize resources. This solution also includes integrated patterns of knowledge designed to automate and optimize the deployment and maintenance of their workloads, helping to improve the efficiency of IT systems.
