Mattel Seeks to Transform Global Trade Promotion Management
Mattel, Inc. has selected solutions from CPGToolBox to help transform the way its trade contracts and promotional spending are planned, managed, and analyzed with retail partners around the world.
As a leading global children’s entertainment company, El Segundo, California-based Mattel manufactures and markets a portfolio of iconic franchises including Barbie, Hot Wheels, and Fisher-Price, in more than 150 countries.
In addition to providing Mattel with real-time visibility around contract rebates, the CPGToolBox TPM platform will manage the promotional calendar for each of the manufacturer's retail partners. By adopting one seamless, cloud-based platform (powered by Salesforce), Mattel will be able to drive more effective forecasting, manage contract funds more efficiently, and analyze trade spend outcomes using meaningful data visualization reports.
“Mattel will quickly experience the powerful business benefits of handling their sales contracts and trade spend investments in a single closed-loop system,” says Rick Pensa, CPGToolBox's chief executive officer. “We look forward to being in the toy business.”
Mattel ranked 83rd in CGT's list of the "Top 100 Consumer Goods Companies" of 2017.
CPGToolBox was an "Editors' Pick" in CGT's 2017 Readers' Choice Survey.
