Mondelez International Nominates Board Member

Mondelez International, Inc. announces the nomination of Ratan N. Tata to its Board of Directors. Tata is Chairman of the Tata Trusts, which are among the largest private sector philanthropic trusts in India.

 

"Ratan is an outstanding candidate for our Board," says Chairman and CEO Irene Rosenfeld. "A global citizen and accomplished innovator, Ratan's career achievements are truly impressive. His operating experience and marketing expertise, particularly in developing markets, will be terrific assets to our Board and to Mondelez International."

 

Prior to his current role, Tata served as Chairman of Tata Sons Limited, the holding company of the Tata Group, from 1991 until 2012. He was also Chairman of the major Tata Group companies, including Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Global Beverages and several other Tata companies until 2012. Tata joined the Tata Group in 1962. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University in 1962 and completed Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program in 1975.

 

All incumbent members of the board will stand for re-election.
