Motorola Introduces Out-of-the-box Imaging Solution
The Enterprise Mobility business of Motorola Inc. introduces the Symbol DS6708-DL digital imager scanner -- a complete solution designed to read and parse the data embedded in the PDF-417 barcode on U.S. driver licenses. The new DS6708-DL builds on Motorola's legacy of innovation with a unique and optimized imaging solution to help enterprise mobility customers improve the end-user experience and increase worker productivity.
With the ability to read driver licenses, retail customers can increase efficiencies, eliminate manual keying errors and ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations regarding the sales of such items as tobacco and alcohol. Eliminating additional software and licensing fees, the DS6708-DL requires minimal start-up effort making it well-suited for retailers of all sizes. In addition, the Symbol DS6708-DL from Motorola includes yearly updates for new driver's license format releases to increase investment protection.
