New Clorox Alliance Launches Green Line
The Clorox Company releases new Green Works brand of natural cleaning products and celebrates an alliance with the Sierra Club that will help deliver the organization's environmental message to mainstream consumers interested in living a more natural lifestyle. Founded in 1892 by John Muir, the Sierra Club is a grassroots environmental organization in the United States with more than 1.3 million members and supporters working to protect the health of the environment and preserve the remaining wild places through grassroots activism, public education, lobbying and litigation. Clorox Chairman and CEO Don Knauss says, "We're proud to align the Green Works brand with the Sierra Club. Our partnership with Sierra Club underscores the benefits of corporations working together with environmental organizations to deliver solutions that protect our communities and the planet." Green Works natural cleaning products are made with plant-based ingredients, formulated to be biodegradable, packaged in recyclable materials and not tested on animals. To date, the cleaners have been launched in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico. According to Clorox, the availability and affordability of Green Works products can help consumers take a step toward living a more natural lifestyle without paying a significant premium. All five Green Works products were launched for Earth Day and will feature the Sierra Club logo, marking the brand's financial commitment to supporting the organization's conservation efforts, including the protection of America's clean air, clean water, wildlife and special places.Protection Agency.
