NIVEA Gives its Sales Force a Makeover

Seeking an increase in the productivity of its sales, NIVEA, a Beiersdorf brand, adopted a mobility solution to automate its sales force, increasing the productivity of salespeople. The company also intends to accelerate the entry of applications received, the advance billing of transactions and reduce errors.
 
NIVEA partnered with Spring Wireless, an end-to-end mobile business in Latin America, which has not only developed and deployed applications, but also operates and manages the solution end-to-end, ensuring the level of service. Initially, the solution will be used by 60 professionals.
 
"The project is innovative," says Rodrigo Wagner, in charge of IT NIVEA in Brazil. "The PDA project at NIVEA aims to provide the sales force a tool to optimize the daily work of the seller and reduce the time for receipt of applications for sales within the company, improving the delivery to the customer," he says.
 
Before the implementation of the project, the vendors of the company worked with paper forms, using a web application for order entry. The solution from Spring Wireless will be integrated with the SAP R/3 system in place at NIVEA. Thus, salespeople can enter orders in real time by accessing the information directly in the management system.
 
According to Wagner, the need for this change came about to improve the sales process of the company. "We always strive to improve the level of service and we believe we are on the right path," he concludes.
