Optiant to Acquire SLIM Technologies

In a move to strengthen its overall capabilities, Optiant, a provider of inventory planning and optimization solutions, agrees to acquire SLIM Technologies, a provider of supply chain network design technology solutions. Privately-held and based in Boston, SLIM Technologies provides supply chain network design solutions to more than 60 customers around the world in retail, consumer goods, chemicals, industrial products and medical industries, including some that are joint Optiant customers. The SLIM Technologies acquisition extends Optiant's solution footprint beyond its current supply chain planning and inventory optimization position and strengthens Optiant's ability to deliver customers integrated, advanced decision support tools, that are both strategic and tactical capabilities for supporting more intelligent and resilient supply chain planning, as well as total inventory deployment strategies.
