Pulse: Heinz Makes Supply Chain More Sustainable

Through its use of a new pooling system from CHEP, Heinz expects to reduce solid waste generation by more than 30 million pounds per year, decrease greenhouse gas emissions by 58 percent and save enough energy to power about 2,500 homes with electricity every year. The company now ships the majority of products from more than 50 plants and distribution centers to retailers across the United States and Canada.
