Quantum Foods Optimizes WMS
Quantum Foods implements best practices at its Bolingbrook, Ill. headquarters using a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) solution. One of the world's largest frozen meat providers, supplying food service, military and retail organizations, Quantum chose RedPrairie Corporation to implement a single, end-to-end system that could direct every move in to, within and out of their global distribution center.
"We chose RedPrairie because of their unique ability to integrate with any system," says Quantum Foods GM for Operations Warehouse, Michael Sacco. "They provided the flexibility and support we needed to use every resource we had to full effect. The RedPrairie WMS optimized every procedure in our warehouse, and we now have a more streamlined operation that is efficient, cost-effective, and accurate."
Quantum Foods originally implemented the WMS in 2005, but new management recognized a number of opportunities available in RedPrairie's solution that were not being leveraged. The companies also worked together to improve the integration with their host systems on which the company relies.
