A Rare Treat

3/18/2011
We haven’t had an S&OP success story featured on the cover of CGT in quite a while, and we attribute that to the fact that S&OP is an area of continuous improvement for most consumer goods organizations. It is never really perfected, but it can be optimized as you will find out by reading our Q&A with Newell Rubbermaid. An S&OP initiative begun in 2007 has led to big gains for the company, so much so that CGT and its advisory boards honored the company with the Dick Clark Supply Chain Award in 2010. While there is no one size fits all S&OP model for consumer goods companies, we hope that you can take away some key learnings from Newell Rubbermaid’s project. Because, after all, the most effective S&OP processes touch almost every part of your business.

Sincerely,
