Southern Wine & Spirits Reveal New Exec Roles

Brad Vassar, EVP and COO along with Lee Hager, EVP and Chief Administrative Officer of Southern Wine & Spirits of America, a wine and spirits distributor with operations in 35 markets – made known two key appointments for the company:
  • Barry Goldberg has been appointed to SVP, Commercial & Operations Value Management & Realization
  • Ann Dozier has been appointed to SVP and CIO
 
Barry Goldberg – New Responsibilities
Goldberg began his career with Southern in 1993 in the California division and has assumed roles of increasing responsibility over his 22-year career with the company. In his new role, Goldberg will work collaboratively and cross-functionally with the commercial, operational, financial and strategic leaders to pursue opportunities for increased efficiencies in standardization, cost reduction, compliance with corporate standards, and the promotion of best practices across the company. In this new role, he will report to Vassar and Hager.
 
"Since joining Southern, Barry has been critical to the consolidation and standardization of back-office systems and the development of Information Technology initiatives vital to the success of the company's strategic projects," says Hager. "We're pleased that Barry has accepted this new role to tap his broad expertise and experience base and to further enhance the collaboration among the commercial and operations areas of the business."
 
"I'm excited to work closely with my functional and divisional executive colleagues in this new, Southern transformation execution role," notes Goldberg. "Leveraging my experience and a collaborative approach, I will endeavor to identify opportunities to lower costs, improve revenue and ensure adoption of and compliance with standards across our footprint."
 
Ann Dozier – New Responsibilities
Dozier joined Southern in 2013 to lead the Information Technology team at Southern. In her role, Dozier will continue to transform IT to drive efficiencies, promote standardizations and fuel growth by delivering key foundational and value-add technology solutions for Southern. In her new role, she will report to Vassar and Hager.
