Tech Transformation, the podcast and video series produced by CGT, has won a Gold Hermes Creative Award, an international competition for creative professionals involved in emerging media, which is administered by the Association of Marketing & Communications Professionals.
The award was given to recognize Tech Transformation’s podcast episode: “Wakefern’s Cheryl Williams On What’s Next in Grocery Tech and Robots.” During the episode, the Wakefern CIO shares details on some of the latest tech innovations the grocer has planned, including its pilot of smart shopping carts and checkout-free experiences.
Tech Transformation bridges the retail and consumer goods technology communities through focused conversations with retail and brand executives, thought leaders, and analysts. It delves into the tech trends and use cases having real impacts on individual companies and the industry at large, and it also highlights the innovative technology strategies retailers and consumer goods companies are executing to meet the needs of their customers and consumers.
“Our team is honored to receive this award,” said Tim Denman, CGT editor-in-chief. “Tech Transformation has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the retail and consumer goods communities, and we know providing these valuable insights in new ways is crucial to serving our audiences. Big shoutout to everyone involved; great to see all the hard work get recognized.”
Joe Territo, EVP, content and communications, at parent company EnsembleIQ, also won an Individual Achievement Award for creating the new, innovative digital experiences for EnsembleIQ’s audiences.
“We are very proud to have earned three Hermes Awards, as it validates our hybrid podcasting and video content investment and honors the creativity of the entire EnsembleIQ team,” said Territo. “By delivering timely and actionable business intelligence in convenient and mobile-friendly podcast and video formats, we’re making it easy for our retail, retail technology, and consumer goods audiences to access actionable insights. We look forward to launching additional podcasting and video experiences for our audiences in the future.”
Progressive Grocer, also a CGT sister brand, launched this week its own podcast and video series: Top Women in Grocery. Each episode will feature successful women in food and grocery and highlight their key contributions to these essential industries. The series will feature the trends, topics and interests that move women forward in grocery retail, the unique challenges women are facing and overcoming, as well as the companies that are supporting women’s leadership initiatives.
