Terra CEO Speaks on Forecasting
Terra Technology, a provider of demand sensing and inventory optimization solutions for consumer products companies, announces that president and CEO Robert F. Byrne will present "State of the Art Forecasting Techniques" at the 8th Annual Sales Forecasting Management conference hosted by the Sales Forecasting Management Forum (SFMF) at the University of Tennessee
Byrne will discuss what he believes is the best technique for measuring forecast error to predict supply chain performance, how to select the best forecast model correctly and differences between demand signal reconciliation and time series models. He will also touch on the traits of good forecasters, the role of downstream data like POS in forecasting and the difficulties capturing "true demand."
