Terra Technology Appoints New Supply Chain VP
Terra Technology, a provider of demand sensing and inventory optimization solutions for consumer products companies, announces that Michael Mastroianni has been appointed as vice president, supply chain strategy. Mastroianni will be responsible for helping Terra's clients enhance their S&OP and planning processes by becoming more demand-driven.
Mastroianni has extensive experience in transforming consumer products supply chains. Over the past seven years, he played a leading role in the end-to-end transformation of The Campbell Soup Company's North American supply chain, where he managed day-to-day operations across the company's 14 North American manufacturing locations, global S&OP, planning, commercialization and continuous improvement. Prior to Campbell Soup, Mastroianni spent 14 years at another consumer products giant, Nabisco, where he led a $10 million transformation of supply chain systems, including shop floor, accounting, purchasing, finite scheduling, capacity planning, distribution resource planning (DRP), manufacturing resource planning (MRP) and network cost optimization modeling.
"Terra's solutions enable consumer products companies to decrease forecast error and increase responsiveness to consumer demand," says Mastroianni. "I know first-hand the tremendous results the software provides. Implementing Terra's solutions at Campbell Soup decreased inventory $10 million in the first year alone, and I look forward to helping other consumer products companies achieve similar results."
