Unilever Appoints New Chief Supply Chain Officer
Unilever announces that Pier Luigi Sigismondi is to join as its new chief supply chain officer.
Paul Polman, chief executive of Unilever, says, "I am extremely pleased that Pier Luigi is joining our top team. He will bring considerable experience to our business and will play a major role in transforming our supply chain into a customer focused operation. His appointment underlines the importance of the supply chain function to our business."
Sigismondi joins Unilever in June 2009 and takes on his new responsibilities in September. His previous experience includes Nestl, AT Kearney and Booz Allen & Hamilton.
