Wegmans Powers Replenishment
Wegmans selects Prescient for its order replenishment software. The family-owned, 71-store grocery chain, is using the Demand Planning and Inventory and Replenishment Planning modules to generate orders for approximately 800 vendors. Wegmans switched to the on-demand software after opening a second distribution center (DC). The first DC was run on a customized mainframe platform, but the 25-year old technology could not support the expanded replenishment needs.
