Who You Gonna Call? Data Busters

12/1/2003

The value of research isn't in aggre-gation of data, it's in analysis. The value of consulting isn't in hiring experts with knowledge and skills, it's in hiring experts who transfer what they know. And the value common to both is the role they play in shaping and guiding the adoption of technology in the CG industry. What I'm referring to is the role played by the community of analysts, researchers and consultants, who are trusted advisors to leading CG firms.

CGT is honored to announce we are establishing a new relationship with this community of experts by adding a Research Advisory Board level to our Editorial Advisory Board. The new Research Advisory Board is composed of the heads of the CG practice at the leading analyst, research and consulting firms in the CG vertical. The first members of this board are listed below, and we take great pleasure in welcoming them to the CGT family.

As a member of the Research Advisory Board these experts will have an impact on CGT starting with this issue, where a half dozen of the industry's leading voices take a deep dive into news and trends that made 2003 such a challenging and rewarding year. Then, after pulling out their crystal balls, the analysts will take a crack at predicting what trends we can look forward to in 2004. Each of these six reports, divided into distinct IT categories, is a must read for CG executives.

In addition to the above feature stories, this issue includes the column "Analyst News," a regular department that is an invitation-only forum for unique and insightful analyst viewpoints.

Beyond the printed magazine, our close relationship with Research Advisory Board members extends to their participation in industry conferences, Webinars, special supplements and in-depth studies, to name a few.

As you can tell, we are extremely proud of our affiliation with this stellar list of industry experts and look forward to the many projects we will be working on together during the coming year. Once again, it is a pleasure for all of us at CGT to welcome the analysts as charter members of the Research Advisory Board.
