Wrapping Things Up

12/1/2006
As the year closes you might be thinking about "wrapping" things up just like I am. I am one of those nostalgic people who like to consider the past year's events. Last month I talked about lists and the December media is full of them. Any year in review program or print issue usually sucks me in, and I hate to admit that I often think: "That happened this year?" Looking back now I realize that I have been with CGTfor six months already.

We will also be looking back in this issue. In particular you will find coverage about our Innovation and Technology Award winners and a rundown of our eighth annual Consumer Goods Technology Fall Conference (Page 31). See who took home the prize for Most Innovative Company, Most Innovative Product, Standout Customer Management, Power User, Breakthrough SMB and Supply Chain Excellence. The hot, and sometimes controversial, topic of trade promotion management is the subject of our Best Practices (Page 14). The 2007 Sourcebook is incorporated as a pull-out inside the magazine. This publication serves as a convenient, inclusive handbook when choosing a provider.

So whether you are wrapping gifts, wrapping up the fiscal year or wrapping up a technology or business project, the entire CGT team wishes you happy holidays and a great New Year!
