Xpedx Expands Warehouse Capabilities

Xpedx, an international paper distributor and provider of equipment and supplies to commercial printers, manufacturers, facility owners/managers, retailers, global transportation companies and others, contracts with RedPrairie, provider of supply chain management software, to provide the new WMS and related services that will be used across its distribution network. Upon implementation, xpedx customers are predicted to see benefits including increased supply chain productivity, activity-based costing and other measurement tools, order accuracy quicker order turnaround, shorter travel time and real-time inventory tracking. xpedx says that the new WMS will also enable it to expand delivery of high-demand kitting, fulfillment and inventory consignment services.
