Aveda Launches Mobile Commerce Site

The Estee Lauder Companies' eco-beauty brand, Aveda announces the launch of its mobile commerce platform -- m.aveda.com. The mobile commerce site, m.Aveda.com aims to provide guests with convenient, on-the-go access to Aveda.com from any web-enabled mobile device. As of Dec. 1, 2009, consumers are able to browse for and purchase Aveda products, search for an Aveda salon, retail store or spa location nationwide and access expert tips showcasing the latest styles and trends in hair care.

"At Aveda we are passionate about connecting with our guests, so it was a natural progression to make the brand accessible to consumers anywhere, anytime via their mobile device," says Suzanne Dawson, vice president, global marketing for Aveda. "We know that about 58 million people access the web via their mobile device each day, so the mobile e-commerce site will help create a seamless multi-channel customer experience for our guests."

Aveda is the first brand within The Estee Lauder Companies to launch a mobile e-commerce site helping to lead the way in mobile commerce for both the corporation and the beauty industry. Following an intensified consumer demand for web-enabled phones, mobile internet usage has risen dramatically. m.Aveda.com is a direct response to the rapidly growing mobile commerce industry.
