Coke Launches Sprite Green

Coca-Cola North America launches its first sparkling, reduced-calorie beverage in the United States made with TRUVIA natural sweetener, which was recently approved by the Food and Drug Administration in December 2008. The natural sweetener uses rebiana, harvested at the peak of sweetness from the stevia leaf. The reduced-calorie Sprite line extension, which debuted in New York and Chicago last month, is the first of what the company expects will be many new, naturally sweetened beverages delivered to market in the future.
