It’s official; social media is much more than a passing fad and is here to stay! Leading consumer goods companies have figured out how to leverage digital and mobile strategies to have direct communications with end consumers, which has led to the development of online communities and enhanced loyalty. In this digital issue, we will focus on digital media and integrated marketing that is changing the way we interact with consumers on a global basis.

Check out our cover story with Pfizer Consumer Healthcare for a great example of consumer engagement via the new Nutrition Possible web site. Consumers now have simplified and easy access to nutritional information and can even receive recommendations based on individual needs.

You can also read about an innovative shopping initiative with Clorox and Alice.com who hosted a Facebook flash sale which was wildly successful.
