Kellogg Company Snags Kimberly-Clark CMO

12/7/2015

Kellogg Company announces that Clive Sirkin is joining the company as Chief Growth Officer (CGO) effective Dec. 15, 2015. Sirkin brings a deep knowledge of the Kellogg business, having worked on the company’s account at advertising agency Leo Burnett Worldwide for more than 15 years.

“With a thorough knowledge of our business and the consumer products industry, Clive is an outstanding choice to help ensure that we are strongly positioned to win in the marketplace and ultimately drive strong, steady top-line growth across our entire global portfolio,” says John Bryant, Kellogg Company chairman and CEO. “As Chief Growth Officer, Clive will be fully focused on driving the long-term growth agenda for our company.”

Sirkin will lead a Global Growth Team comprised of Kellogg Company’s commercial functions — Global Sales, Global Marketing, Global Insights & Planning and the Global Breakfast and Global Snacks category teams, as well as Research, Quality, Nutrition & Technology. The Global Growth Team will be accountable for helping develop the company’s long-term category strategies, including scalable, consumer-driven innovation and brand-building platforms.

Sirkin joins Kellogg from Kimberly-Clark, where he has held the position of Chief Marketing Officer since 2012. He has been credited with transforming the company’s marketing capabilities, and growing revenue and profit across its consumer and business-to-business divisions. In 2014, Sirkin was named CMO of the Year by CGT. Prior to Kimberly-Clark, he served in several key roles on the Kellogg business with Leo Burnett Worldwide, including as Executive Vice President and Global Head of the account.

Sirkin will report directly to John Bryant and serve on the company’s Global Leadership Team. He succeeds Kellogg’s former CGO, Paul Norman, who was named President, Kellogg North America, in April.
