New and Improved

1/24/2008
As I write this, I am on a treadmill, listening to a "learn Spanish" CD after just having attached a quit smoking patch to my arm -- does that cover all the resolutions? Yep. But alas, it's not true. In fact, it is still December and I haven't even eaten my share of holiday cookies yet. Albeit by the time you read this, it will be near the end of January, and hopefully, I will have made at least one of the aforementioned improvements!

Happy New Year and welcome to the first issue of CGT for 2008."New" will be the operative word for us over the next few months. In the first quarter, we are redesigning our Web site to better serve you. Rich content and highly focused sections will provide you a one-stop for industry information and easily enable you to fine targeted research, thought leadership and more.We also will connect you to your peers, leading vendors and career opportunities.

July will be our first-ever "green" issue -- all digital -- focused on sustainability and what consumer goods companies are doing to lessen their footprint. And in conjunction with the Consumer Goods Growth & Innovation Forum, the September issue will include our first innovation study.

"Choice" is the other key word for this year and this issue. Unless you literally have not watched TV, gone online or picked up a newspaper for more than a year now, you know that 2008 brings us a very important presidential election. Whatever your politics may be, get out there and vote or you can't really complain. Regarding CGT, the January issue once again serves up results from our annual Readers' Choice survey. Check out the lists and see where your providers ranked in their respective categories.

We look forward to serving your information needs in 2008.As always, feedback is welcome: [email protected].
