Smart Balance Launches Milk Line for Kids

Smart Balance has launched the first line of milks specially formulated for toddlers and children, available in three varieties:

· Smart Balance Kids Transitions Whole Milk & Nutrient Blend

· Smart Balance Kids Reduced Fat Milk & Nutrient Blend

· Smart Balance Kids Chocolate Low Fat Milk & Nutrient Blend

"As a parent, I am all too familiar with the struggle to get kids to eat healthfully," says Smart Balance Senior Vice President and General Manager John Becker. "Smart Balance Kids Milks provide wholesome milk and a blend of nutrients to give kids a strong nutritional foundation during critical stages of development."

All varieties of Smart Balance Kids Milks contain calcium, extra Vitamin D, DHA and EPA Omega-3s. The milks are produced from cows with no artificial growth hormones.

Transitions Whole Milk, with a nutrient blend containing iron and prebiotics, is formulated for children aged 12-24 months.

Smart BalanceKids Reduced Fat and Chocolate Low Fat Milks have vitamins C and E to support growing kids ages 2 and up.

The line is now sold in all Harris Teeter stores, including those in North Carolina--the first state where the product line has been introduced.
