TimBar to Incorporate Shelfbucks Platform

After finalizing an agreement with Austin, Texas-based Shelfbucks Inc., TimBar Packaging & Display, Hanover, Pennsylvania, will now incorporate the Shelfbucks platform into its customer point-of-purchase (P-O-P) displays, enabling brands and retailers to actively measure, manage and improve the effectiveness of in-store promotional merchandising campaigns. The new TimBar SmartDisplays will incorporate the Shelfbucks platform into brand P-O-P merchandising, providing CPG companies and retail partners real-time, measureable data on when and where displays are installed in stores. Shoppers may also interact with the new displays using their smartphones to access product content, promotional offers, reviews and other product information.

Marketing Werks Adds Two New Clients

Marketing Werks, a Crossmark company headquartered in Chicago, added two new clients to its roster: wireless carrier U.S. Cellular and health care technology company

Mobeam Updates Its App

Mobeam released a new version of its Beep’nGo mobile application for Android. The new version adds significant design improvements to its 4.0 iteration allowing customers to use retail loyalty cards, gift cards and bar-code coupons on their smartphone at checkout scanners for the first time. Design improvements include location-based card reminders for faster checkout and an enhanced “Add Card” setup process.

TracyLocke Wins Heineken Marketing Business

Dallas-based agency TracyLocke won a substantial portion of Heineken USA’s shopper marketing business previously held by Geometry Global. According to Adweek’s AgencySpy blog, TracyLocke will handle national brand portfolio work for the entire roster of U.S. Heineken brands including Tecate, Dos Equis, Newcastle and Amstel Light. It will also be in charge of regional marketing and designing. IN Marketing Services, Norwalk, Connecticut, will handle all channel-driven retail work.

Sutherland Packaging Gets New Warehouse

Andover, New Jersey-based Sutherland Packaging has expanded operations with a new 19,000-square-foot warehouse in Newton, New Jersey. Besides a significant increase in overall storage space, the new facility will help the company improve its production workflow and expand logistics capabilities, including loading and shipping.

Centra360 Wins Foster Farms Business

After a three-month review, Long Island-based brand and retail activation agency Centra360 has won the shopper marketing business for Foster Farms. Foster Farms is a Livingston, California-based supplier of fresh and frozen poultry products to retailers including Walmart, Kroger and Ahold USA.

The agency named Micah Wightman director of operations. In his new role, Wightman is responsible for U.S.-based field operations including sampling programs, special events, intercepts and mystery shopping.

Catapult named Gene Tiernan senior vice president. Tiernan is tasked with spearheading the incorporation of Catapult’s conversion marketing philosophy into its through-the-line integrated approach with clients, including Union Bank and Stanley Black & Decker.

The Carlson Group, Lombard, Illinois

Ilicia Manger joins the company as account director, strategic partnerships. In her role, she serves as an integral part of initiative to grow the company’s presence along the East Coast.

The Escape Pod, Chicago

The agency named Mark Andeer chief marketing officer. Andeer is a veteran marketing and advertising executive behind successful viral campaigns such as Kmart’s “Ship My Pants” and OfficeMax’s “Elf Yourself.”

The company appointed Jeff Hansberry as its first chief commercial officer.
