Pro snowboarder Danny Davis riding the One World Backseat Driver
Mtn Dew and Burton Snowboards are teaming on behalf of sustainability as part of a new partnership known as One World.
With a full-length feature film of the same name, a dozen episodes of digital content and a limited-edition apparel and accessory collection made of recycled materials, One World intends to celebrate the connection between snowboarding, curiosity and a respect for the environment. The film was also produced in partnership with Toyota, Plartec and Bank of the West.
The One World capsule collection, made with rPET, is sold exclusively through Burton stores and on its website, as is a specially created snowboard known as the Backseat Driver. Mtn Dew, owned by No. 3 consumer goods company PepsiCo, will make a donation to support Protect Our Winters (POW) on behalf of pro snowboarder Danny Davis, an Alliance Member of POW and team rider for both Burton and Mtn Dew.
"Mtn Dew is excited to support Burton, our long-time partner, on this project, highlighting recycling initiatives via an episode titled 1029 Turns. Not only is this an opportunity to shine light on this incredible project, but also to continue expanding our relationships with our shared athlete partners," said Nicole Portwood, VP, marketing, Mtn Dew.
