Tech Maven Shelly Palmer to Keynote CGSM 2019

8/28/2019

Technology guru Shelly Palmer will help consumer goods executives prepare for the industry’s technology-driven future during a keynote presentation at the 16th annual Consumer Goods Sales & Marketing Summit, which will take place Oct. 14-16 at the Boston Marriot Copley Place Hotel.

While many companies struggle to react to an ever-changing business landscape, successful organizations know that the future will look nothing like today and are embracing emerging technologies that can help them be prepared. Shelly Palmer, chief executive officer of The Palmer Group, will examine how to leverage emerging technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, 5G, open-source software, best-in-class marketing technology and associated data science technologies to prepare for whatever comes next.

Named one of LinkedIn’s “Top Voices in Technology,” Palmer is chief executive officer of The Palmer Group, a strategic advisory, technology solutions and business development practice focused at the nexus of media and marketing with a special emphasis on machine learning and data-driven decision-making. He is well known as Fox 5 New York’s on-air tech expert and for his work on the Emmy-nominated television show, “Shelly Palmer Digital Living," and also is a regular technology commentator for CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, and Fox Business News.

Attendees of Palmer’s session will learn how to turn data into action, become experts in using AI to work smarter and more efficiently, and better understand how to leverage major tech trends to stay ahead of the competition.

CGSM’s full agenda is designed to expose attendees to the technologies and techniques they need to become disruptive forces in the industry. The informative, interactive agenda includes new technology showcases, peer-to-peer networking sessions and focused share groups in addition to a lineup of leading industry innovators and thought leaders.

The conference will conclude with a half-day session of the invitation-only League of Leaders, a group of leading executives in the consumer goods industry who are committed to fostering best practices for the strategic use of technology to drive meaningful business growth. Members include executives from PepsiCo, Georgia-Pacific, Kimberly-Clark, Wakefern Food Corp., SAP and PwC.
