Top 10 World's Most Admired Consumer Goods Companies

It may not shock you to hear that Starbucks is the top consumer goods company on Fortune's list of the "World’s Most Admired Companies Top 50 All-Stars."

The coffee giant came in on the list at No. 6.  Since 1971, Starbucks Coffee Company has been committed to ethically sourcing and roasting arabica coffee. Today the company connects with millions of customers every day with more than 23,000 retail stores in 70 countries. Among its more recent innovations, Starbucks Mobile Order & Pay allows customers to place and pay for orders in advance of their visit and pick them up at one of the more than 7,400 U.S. participating Starbucks locations. The mobile ordering experience is seamlessly integrated into Starbucks mobile app and My Starbucks Rewards loyalty program.

NIKE, Inc. came in at No. 9 on Fortune's list. The designer, marketer and distributor of athletic footwear, apparel, equipment and accessories recently hired Adam Sussman as the athletic apparel company's first chief digital officer. Wholly owned NIKE, Inc. subsidiaries include Converse Inc. and Hurley International LLC.

General Electric came in at No. 10 on the list. GE is a Digital Industrial Company, transforming industry with software-defined machines and solutions that are connected, responsive and predictive. GE is organized around a global exchange of knowledge, the "GE Store," through which each business shares and accesses the same technology, markets, structure and intellect.
