Mars Petcare Taps Christoph Heyn as New Chief Digital Officer

Mars, Incorporated has named Christoph Heyn its new chief digital officer for the petcare segment, effective November 27, 2023.

Heyn currently serves as global vice president of digital at Ikea and, in this newly-created role, will work to scale and define the brand’s digital products and spearhead the development of digital capabilities across the business. Heyns will report to Leonid Sudakov, president of growth, digital & platforms.

Heyn has a track record of supporting large companies through digital transformation, having served stints working in the hospitality sector at the Ritz-Carlton and Marriott, as well as in Banking at Capital One. While at Ikea, Heyn was instrumental in shifting the retailer from a store-based model into more unified commerce, omnichannel business.

Heyn joins Mars at a time of change and intensifying focus on digital transformation. Last week, the consumer goods company announced the appointment of Najoh Tita-Reid to another newly-created role: chief brand and experience officer of Petcare.
