Nestlé Names Jeff Hamilton Americas CEO, Steve Presley To Depart

Nestlé has named a new chief executive officer of its Americas business unit, effective July 1. 

Jeff Hamilton will take over for Steve Presley, who is retiring on April 30 after nearly 20 years with Nestlé.

Appointed by the board, Hamilton brings an extensive background with the company, beginning his career at Purina in the U.S. as a sales representative in 1991. His tenure has included leadership roles such as president and CEO of Nestlé Canada, where he oversaw operations for Nestlé Professional, Nestlé Purina PetCare, Nestlé Waters, Nestlé Health Science, Nestlé Nutrition and Nestlé Skin Health, according to LinkedIn.

Additionally, he was president of Nestlé’s foods division in the U.S., and vice president of marketing at Nestlé Purina Asia, Oceania and Africa. Since 2021, he’s been leading Purina PetCare’s Europe business. His responsibilities have included brand strategy, consumer marketing efforts and business operations. 

Laurent Freixe, CEO of Nestlé S.A., said in a statement that Hamilton was hired for his demonstrated ability to motivate teams and will help drive growth for the company’s Americas zone.
