P&G, Accenture Collaboration Wins Award

Procter & Gamble and Accenture have won the Outsourcing Excellence Award in the “Most Innovative” category by Outsourcing Center, a resource of outsourcing best-practice information. The award recognizes Accenture’s and Procter & Gamble’s (P&G) collaboration on a commercial services program in which Accenture manages P&G’s digital marketing campaigns, e-retailer content and virtual reality centers.   

Andy Walter, vice-president of P&G’s Global Business Services unit, says, “As we continue to grow our capabilities, we’re seeking companies that can bring innovative solutions and help us deliver them at scale. P&G believes that our bundled agreement has strengthened our strategic relationship with Accenture and created a “launchpad” for the delivery of distinctive new capabilities on a global scale. This collaboration enables us to benefit from custom-developed services that help solve our unique business needs. Accenture understands our business and is willing to jointly invest in business areas that hold key strategic value to us.”

Accenture is delivering the services across 12 locations, in more than 10 languages, through its Global Delivery Network using Accenture centers in Mumbai, Buenos Aires, Shanghai, Warsaw and client locations. The award was presented to Accenture and P&G at the 17th Annual Outsourcing Excellence Awards event in Irving, TX on Thursday, May 9.
