Global self-care company Perrigo, manufacturer of Nasonex, Plackers, and Rembrandt, has created a new EVP and chief brand and digital officer role to lead consumer-focused marketing efforts.
David Ball joins the company, taking on the new leadership position to oversee an enterprise-wide marketing strategy that focuses on untapped market opportunities, brand building, and gaining a deeper understanding of consumer needs.
Ball has over 15 years of experience in the global consumer goods industry, working across brand management, marketing, innovation, and R&D. He previously served as general manager and VP of marketing for the North America digestive health business of Bayer Consumer Healthcare. In that role, he helped lead Bayer’s acquisition of a DTC healthcare tech company and a white space incubator group.
Ball also spent 10 years at Procter & Gamble, where he held several leadership positions across different business units.
"It is with great honor that I am joining Perrigo at such a critical time in its 135-year history as the company is on a path to become the first and only blended-branded company,” said Ball. “I look forward to working with the leadership team and my new colleagues on building something truly unique for consumers, customers, and shareholders."
President and CEO Patrick Lockwood-Taylor said Ball’s deep understanding of consumer insights will help shape and execute the brand’s strategies, strengthening the global over-the-counter business.
