Just a week after The Kraft Heinz Company announced its first chief strategy and transformation officer for its North America region, the company is moving its head of digital transformation into a global finance role.
Andre Maciel, currently U.S. CFO and head of digital transformation, will assume the role of executive VP and global CFO, succeeding Paulo Basilio.
Maciel has been with Kraft Heinz since 2013 and has held several leadership roles, including VP of global financial planning and analysis for the H.J. Heinz Company. He was also managing director of continental Europe, where he was responsible for the Kraft Heinz business in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.

His pre-Kraft Heinz history includes serving as VP commercial U.S. for revenue management, planning and performance management at AB InBev, according to his LinkedIn.
The planned succession has Basilio serving in an advisory role at the company for six months.
The move, effective March 2, also sees Yang Xu moving to the role of senior VP, global head of corporate development. Xu, who is currently global head of treasury and M&A and based in Amsterdam, has been with Kraft Heinz since 2018 in a range of finance leadership positions.
