Prada Group, which owns such brands as Prada, Miu Miu, Church’s, Car Shoe, and Marchesi, is optimizing its supply chain planning within its leather goods division.

The company is working with o9 Solutions to improve visibility into its raw material procurement and production processes and elevate overall planning across its multi-tier global supply chain.

Using AI, Prada can tap into custom production workflows so planners can better assess risks and approve production orders. It provides near real-time decision-making across procurement, allowing Prada to perform root-cause analyses to prevent supply chain issues proactively.

Supply Chain Transformations

Prada joins a host of other consumer goods companies that have looked to strengthen and streamline their supply chain operations through recent technology investments.

Fresh-prepared food company Blount Fine Foods, for example, recently implemented a unified system for demand and supply chain planning. PepsiCo has been undergoing a six-year journey to modernize its operations, with a specific focus on supply chain. As it nears the end of its SAP rollout in the U.S., PepsiCo is preparing for an integrated infrastructure that streamlines its food and beverage businesses.
